Sleepwalker discovered in Aberdeen supermarket "looking for a watermelon"
She took to social media to thank officers, after she was found sleepwalking around the ASDA superstore in Garthdee
An Aberdeen woman’s been woken by police – in the fruit and vegetable aisle of a local supermarket.
She took to social media to thank officers, after she was found sleepwalking around the ASDA superstore in Garthdee around 2.30am this morning.
The 23 year old posted anonymously on the Fubar News Facebook page, saying she’d walked more than a mile to the shop, wandering around the nearby Boots and Currys units before ending up in the 24-hour shop looking for a watermelon.
She was woken by the police officer there, before being returned home safely, if a bit confused.
The barefoot sleepwalker also thanked staff at the ASDA, after they gave her shoes, socks and a cup of tea after her ordeal.
In a statement, Police Scotland said: "Police were called in relation to concerns for a female at around 2.30am at ASDA Garthdee."
"She was assisted home safely."
