A father-of-two from Romania has been given a six year jail sentence for raping a teenage girl in Aberdeen city centre.

CCTV showed 20-year-old Daniel Teglas dragging the drunk 18-year-old off the street and taking her to the roof garden of the Bon Accord Centre - formerly the St Nicholas Centre.

She had been on her first night out in the city centre back in July and had found herself seperated from her friends.

Teglas had only just arrived in Scotland with his family - he has a previous conviction in France for housebreaking.

The judge at the High Court in Glasgow called him a "vile predator" who had shown no empathy for his victim.
