Six domestic abuse arrests in Aberdeen in just two days
A Police operation earlier this week saw four men in their 30's, one in his 50's and a woman in her 20's charged in relation with domestic abuse offences.
Police Scotland officers have arrested six people during a two-day operation to tackle domestic abuse in Aberdeen.
The proactive activity took place on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th July, 2021, and focussed on outstanding incidents in the area.
Two men, aged 33 and 34, were arrested and charged in relation to domestic abuse offences and appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Friday, 9 July.
A further three men, aged 35, 35, and 56, as well as a 24-year-old woman, were also arrested and charged in connection with domestic abuse offences. All were released on an undertaking to appear before Aberdeen Sheriff Court at a later date.
Inspector Graeme Moir said: “Tackling domestic abuse remains a priority for Police Scotland and we are committed to working with our partners to reduce the harm it causes to all persons involved.
“Police Scotland will proactively target perpetrators, and support victims to prevent domestic abuse from damaging the lives of victims, and their families, including children who too often experience the abuse.
