Sir Ian Wood provides £25m to secure Aberdeen's future
Sir Ian Wood has sat down with Northsound News - to discuss the creation of a new business group to save Aberdeen's future economy.
Sir Ian Wood has provided £25m of his own money to secure the future of Aberdeen.
The money will be used to create a new business group called 'Opportunity North East'.
It aims to create thousands of jobs in industrys such as food and drink, life sciences and tourism.
Another main aim is to make sure the North East's oil industry makes it through the downturn, and even prosper even when oil reserves evntually run out.
Sir Ian spoke to us about the new venture:
