Shotgun Stolen in Break In

The police are appealing for witnesses following a break-in and theft of a shotgun at a rural property in the Anguston area of Peterculter.

It happened between 7am and 6.30pm on Monday 5th October 2015.

Electrical items were also stolen.

Detective Inspector Stephen Beattie said: "Enquiries are at an early stage and we would urge anyone who may have seen anything unusual or suspicious in the area over the course of the last few days to contact us.

"We would also ask members of the public to remain vigilant and report anything that concerns them.

"In addition we would urge householders to review their home security and do all that they can to prevent themselves from becoming victims of opportunistic thieves. This includes keeping doors and windows locked and ensuring that an alarm is set. Anyone who is offered items for sale that they have any concerns about should contact us on 101 on 0800 555 111."
