Several arrests made following disturbances in Aberdeen

Officers say investigations are ongoing into a disturbance which occurred on George Street before Aberdeen played Hibs.

Several people have been arrested following a spate of incidents in Aberdeen last night.

Four of those, aged between 15 and 25, were arrested at Pittodrie as the Dons played Hibs.

Another teenager was arrested on George Street in connection with being in possession of a pyrotechnic.

Officers say investigations are ongoing into a disturbance which occurred on the busy street.

This comes after footage showed fans clashing on the busy Aberdeen Street.

Police Scotland say three of the four arrested at Pittodrie were later released.

A spokesperson said: "Four males, aged between 15 and 25, were arrested in connection with a number of offences at Pittodrie Stadium on Friday, 4 November, 2022.

"Three were released and are due to appear at a later date.

"One was issued with a fixed penalty notice."

In relation to the George Street incident, another 15-year-old was arrested, and Police Scotland are appealing to anyone who filmed it to come forward.

A spokesperson said: "Officers are investigating following a disturbance on George Street, Aberdeen, which occurred around 6.30pm on Friday, 4 November, 2022.

"Enquiries are ongoing to identify those involved and anyone with mobile phone footage is asked to contact the police.

"A 15-year-old male was arrested in connection with being in possession of a pyrotechnic. He was released and is due to appear at a later date."
