An 18-year old has been assaulted at Stonehaven Railway Station, just before midnight on Saturday December 3rd.

The man suffered a broken jaw and officers want to trace a young man and woman in connection with the incident.

The female is in her late teens to early twenties, tall, of a slim build with long brown hair. She was wearing a beige coloured jacket and beige knee high boots. The male is in his early twenties, of a medium build with short dark hair. He was wearing a dark blue puffy jacket, blue jeans and grey and black trainers.

PC Graham Crawford said: "This appears to have been a completely unprovoked attack which has resulted in a young man being seriously injured. Violent behaviour will not be tolerated and I would urge anyone with information that could assist with our enquiries to contact Police as soon as possible."

Anyone with information should contact Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 if you want to stay anonymous.
