Second Offshore Strike Ballot Due

The results of a second strike ballot by offshore caterers will be released later.

RMT members have been voting on whether to take industrial action, after a planned pay rise was cancelled by COTA.

Members of Unite voted in favour of walkouts last week.

If they go ahead, they'd be the first strikes in the North Sea in decades.

Professor of Oil Accounting at RGU Professor Alex Russell has warned us even the threat of industrial action could be enough to deter investors, and put the recovery of the offshore sector at risk.
