Could Seagulls Ruin Plans For Cafe Culture?

A local city councillor has warned that seagulls could threaten plans for a cafe culture on Belmont Street.

Trials have been going on for the last few weeks, with cafes and restraunts on Belmont Street introducing outside eating areas.

But customers have been targeted by large seagulls, who have been stealing their food, and smashing plates and glasses on the ground.

So now, Cllr Ross Thomson has launched a survey to see what can be done to prevent the seagulls from spoiling plans.

Our reporter Hope Webb sat down with Cllr Thomson to discuss the issue.
