Scottish Government Challenges Grimsby Grant

It could by Fraserburgh versus Grimsby in the fight for hundreds of jobs.

Young's Seafood are the biggest single employers in both Fraserburgh and Grimsby in the north of England.

But it's claimed Grimsby's now getting an unfair advantage, which could put the North East operation under further pressure.

Their local council has secured £1.3 million in UK Government funding to encourage Young's to expand there.

But there are strict EU rules on how much state aid can go to private companies, and the Scottish Government want to know if this deal is completely above board.
