Tom Robertson, 10, from Mile End School won a primary school competition held by RGU’s Gray’s School of Art to design the medal.

He's worked with students and staff at the university to refine his original design and start production of the medals.

The Aberdeen Youth Games take place at Aberdeen Sports Village on Friday May 20th.

The official games baton is also in the final stages of its journey around each of the 42 participating schools across the Granite City.
