Ross County Secure 2-0 Win At Home Against Aberdeen
Ross County manager Jim McIntyre hailed an impressive all-round display in the 2-0 Ladbrokes Premiership win against top-of-the-table Aberdeen at the Global Energy Stadium.
Brian Graham scored either side of the interval in a well-deserved victory, which saw the Dingwall side move into third spot in the table.
McIntyre said: "We thoroughly merited the win. We created some really good opportunities and we beat a right good side tonight. There were a lot of top performances.''
McIntyre believes his side have the confidence to continue their impressive start to the season, adding: "There is no doubt the players have got a belief and a confidence that they can go and win matches at this level - we showed that again tonight.
"We've made Dingwall a hard place to come to since February. We've put on some good performances and we've also won ugly.''
A disappointed Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes said: "I thought Ross County played well, their front two were a problem for us. One of our boys played (Richard) Foster onside for the first goal and from there on in were are scrambling to retrieve the situation.
"I thought we started the game well enough but being 1-0 down at half time we change it a wee bit and I thought we were far better. We showed our attacking threat and we played on the front foot and we did create chances - there was a lot about the second half I was pleased about.''
But McIntyre bemoaned his side's lack of luck on the night, saying: "There was a couple of mistakes in the build up to the second goal but they get a wee richochet just when big Andy (Considine) gets across to cover and gets the block in and it falls back to Graham.''
