Rescue teams resume search for missing kayaker
The alarm was raised on Saturday afternoon
The search for a kayaker missing off the coast of Aberdeenshire has resumed.
The alarm was raised when coastguard teams covering the Banff area received a distress call requesting help at around 4pm on Saturday.
An "extensive'' search of the area was launched by the coastguard and police.
A search and rescue helicopter from Inverness, coastguard teams from Banff and Portsoy and three RNLI lifeboats - from Macduff, Buckie and Fraserburgh - were involved in the operation over several hours on Saturday.
On Sunday the Macduff lifeboat launched just after 10am to carry out a shoreline search of the area.
Banff and Portsoy coastguard teams set out to search the areas covered on Saturday night in daylight.
