Police in Peterhead have acted to urge for a stop to anti-social behaviour and vandalism in Peterhead.

During the October holidays they say they had an increased reports of incidents in and around the grounds of Clerkhill School in the town.

ergeant Diane MacDonald from Peterhead Community Policing Team said;

“We have responded to the concerns of both the school and the local community and have increased the frequency of our high visibility patrols in the area. This has led to engagement with groups of youths who have been dispersed from the area and we have made it very clear that their behaviour is unacceptable. We have now learned of mindless damage to school property and enquiries are ongoing to identify those responsible.

There is no excuse for this type of behaviour and it will absolutely not be tolerated by the local community or the Police. We will continue to support our Education colleagues and any further reports will be dealt with promptly and robustly.

Anyone with information in relation to the damage to the school or who has any concerns in relation to anti-social behaviour, is asked to contact Police”
