Police name man killed in lorry crash

Police have named the man who died when his car and a lorry crashed in Aberdeenshire yesterday.

He was 32 year old Ben Abrahams from Torphins.

The accident happened on the B979 Westhill to Peterculter road near Mason Lodge at about 8.30am on Thursday, 11 August.

Mr Abrahams had been driving the red Toyota Yaris. The driver of the lorry was not injured.

The family of Mr Abrahams released the following statement:

"Ben had worked as a petroleum engineer for Schlumberger for the past 5 years. He lived in Torphins with his wife and two young sons. He is loved and respected and will be sadly missed by all his friends and family."
