Police have named a man killed in a crash on the A90 last January.

Alistair Arthur, who was 74-years-old, died after a two vehicle collision on the road at it's junction with Logie Road, Tipperty.

His blue Volkswagen T-roc car was involved in a crash with a white DAF HGV at 5:20pm on Tuesday January 25th.

Mr Arthur was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two women in their 80's were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary following the incident with serious injuries, and were later released.

Sergeant Chris Smith of the North East Road Policing Unit said "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Mr Arthur.

“Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the collision and I would urge anyone who may have witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle prior to the collision that has not already spoken to officers, to come forward.”
