Police are hunting a man following a second robbery on an Aberdeen newsagents in two months.

The latest incident happened at Icon Stores at around 10pm on Saturday, the 10th of December.

The man brandished a weapon, before leaving with a three figures sum of cash.

He is described as being in his thirties, around 5ft 6 and of a slim build. He was wearing a black tracksuit top with white ties and dark coloured jeans. Detective Sergeant Stephen Beattie said: "Fortunately no one was injured during the incident, however the member of staff who was working at the time was left understandably shaken. This is the second incident reported to Police in recent weeks involving the same premises which is an obvious concern. I would like to take this opportunity to reassure local people and the wider public that officers are doing everything possible to trace the individual involved, and that extensive enquiries are ongoing. I would urge anyone with information, or anyone who saw anyone suspicious in the area around the time in question, to contact Police on 101 as soon as possible or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 if you would prefer to remain anonymous."

A 15-year-old male was charged in connection with an alleged robbery at the shop on the 31st of October, but say there's nothing to suggest the incidents are linked.
