Police find 'no evidence of criminality' after man found seriously injured in Aberdeen

Police are still trying to find out how an Aberdeen man ended up seriously injured just before Christmas.

Greg Houghton, 25, was taken to hospital on the morning of Saturday December 23rd after a night out and was put in a medical coma.

Detective have traced the 10 men he was spotted with on Skene Street - they're mostly friends of Greg's and there's no evidence of criminality.

They want to hear from anyone else who can help them find out what happened.

Detective Inspector Richie Guild said: "Extensive enquiries have been ongoing to establish the exact circumstances which led to Mr Houghton being injured that night, with a number of people spoken to.

"I would like to thank all those who have provided information so far for their help.

"As a result of these enquiries which have included extensively reviewing CCTV, the men - most of whom are known personally to Mr Houghton - have been traced with no evidence of criminality established.

"We will continue to act on any information provided to us and I would ask anyone who thinks they can help to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident no. 1323 of Dec 23."
