Police appeals after A950 crash near Auchtydonald

A 59-year-old woman was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where she is being treated for serious injuries.

Road Policing Officers are appealing for information after a serious road crash near to Auchtydonald, Mintlaw on Tuesday, 16 February, 2021.

Around 1.30pm on Tuesday afternoon, officers on patrol came across a white Toyota Yaris that had left the road on the A950, Peterhead to Mintlaw road, near to Auchtydonald, Mintlaw.

The 59 year-old driver of the Toyota was taken by Ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where she is being treated for serious injuries.

The road is closed and Road Policing Officers are currently carrying out enquiries at the scene to establish the circumstances surrounding this crash.

Sergeant Andrew Meikleham of the North East Road Policing Unit said: Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the white Toyota Yaris being driven in the area, or anyone driving on that road with dash-cam footage to contact us. Anyone with information that may assist the ongoing investigation should contact officers through 101 quoting reference number 1465 of 16 February, 2021.
