Police Appeal For Pensioner Knocked Down in Aberdeen

Police in Aberdeen are anxious to trace an elderly man who was knocked down by a car on Union Street this morning.

The incident happened near to the junction with Huntly Street at around 7:30am on 16 September.

The car driver stopped to check on the man, who got up and entered a number 11 bus. He is believed to have got off the bus in the Hazlehead area. He is described as being in 60s or 70s, about 5'3" in height, with grey cropped hair. He was wearing a navy jacket and navy trousers.

Sergeant Mark Stephen, of the City Centre Policing Team, said: "We want to make sure that this elderly gentleman is safe and see whether he requires any medical attention. I am also asking for anyone who witnessed the collision this morning to come forward and make us aware."
