Police appeal for witnesses of crash between car and motorbike

Hospital staff say injuries sustained by the 36-year-old motorbike driver are 'serious'.

Road Policing Officers are appealing for information after a serious road crash involving two vehicles on Whitestripes Road at the B997 junction in Aberdeen on Thursday, 25 February, 2021.

Around 6.50pm on Thursday evening, officers were called to a report of a road crash involving a KTM motorbike and a Mazda CX-7 car on Whitestripes Road at its junction with the B997.

Police and Ambulance attended and the 36 year-old motorcyclist was taken by Ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he is being treated for his injuries. Hospital staff describe his condition as serious. The male driver of the Mazda and his female passenger were uninjured.

Constable Callum Kerr, from the Road Policing Unit based at Inverurie is urging any witnesses to come forward. He said: “Our investigation into this crash is continuing and I would ask anyone who witnessed this incident, or who was on that road shortly before the crash occurred to contact us. I would also ask anyone driving on Whitestripes Road at the B997 junction shortly before 6.50pm who has dash-cam footage to come forward.”
