Published 10th Apr 2015

Police are urging for help to find two suspects who attempted to murder two Aberdeen brothers in Edinburgh yesterday.

43-year-old Peter Stewart and his 45-year-old brother James Stewart were stabbed after travelling over 100 miles to buy a car.

The violent attack happened at about 6pm on Wednesday in Edinburgh's Wardieburn Place West.

The two suspects departed the scene, possibly via the large grass area at the rear of the block.

The first suspect is described as a white man, aged 17-19 years. He has a central Scotland accent and light-coloured short hair, which is shaved at the sides. He was wearing a light-coloured sky blue hooded sweatshirt and grey jogging bottoms.

The second suspect is a white man in his mid-twenties. He has a stocky build and was wearing a striped top.

Police are now urging anyone with any information as to who they may be, to come forward.

Both victims were taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.

James Stewart has been released from hospital, while his brother Peter Stewart is now considered stable.
