Police want to speak to the driver of a vehicle mounted the pavement in Aberdeen.

The car steered off the road at around 5:30pm on Thursday close to a group of youths and almost struck one of them on Invercauld Road in Mastrick.

The vehicle is described as a large silver 4X4 vehicle with tinted windows, possibly a BMW or Jeep.

The driver is described as a thin male, between 30 - 40 years old, with brown hair and a local accent.

Investigating Officer PC James Whittall said "This incident occurred when Invercauld Road was busy with pedestrians and motorists and we are keen to trace the driver of the vehicle.

"I am appealing to anyone that may have witnessed this incident or seen a similar vehicle in the area to get in touch with the Police. Also similarly, if the driver recognises themselves from this appeal I would ask that they get in touch with us."
