Police Officers in Aberdeenshire are appealing for information after a collection of kayaks and associated equipment was discovered at a rural property near to Inverurie.

The items were found and reported to police on the afternoon of Monday, 19 April, 2021. Enquiries are ongoing into the thefts, whilst officers are also working to identify and contact the owners of the equipment.

Constable Chris Williamson, from Inverurie Police Station, said: “It is suspected that the items were stolen from various kayaking clubs and events from across the UK, likely over a period of time.

“With that in mind, we are asking for anyone who has had kayaks or kayaking equipment stolen over the last few years to please get in contact.

“If you have any information which could assist our enquiries, call police on 101, quoting incident 2034 of 19 April.”
