Police apology to family of Preston Flores
The family of the 7 year old boy who suffered fatal burns on an Aberdeen street have received an apology from the police. Officers admit they made a number of mistakes in dealing with the family of Preston Flores, who died a year ago. They didn't send liaison officers to help his parents at the hospital and failed to make sure the pavement where it happened had been properly cleaned.
The police also released a family statement, before making sure all the relatives had been told that Preston had died.
