Peterhead players get their vaccine following win

Peterhead boss Jim McInally hopes his players can help inspire others in the North East town to get their Covid vaccine.
Some of the squad's youngest players headed straight to the town's walk-in vaccine clinic on Saturday, after beating Cove Rangers 3-1 in the League Cup.
McInally also hopes if his players, and those at other part-time clubs, can get fully vaccinated then it could lead to loosened rules on self-isolation across League 1 and League 2.
The Peterhead boss told Northsound:
"We've already been hit this year with isolations, and a couple of players having Covid
"I think the SFA are encouraging the vaccinations so that there won't be isolation periods, so if someone gets it then it will be less hassle for the players.
"You know, they are constantly testing."
Reflecting on how the publicity could help encourage locals to get their jab, McInally told us:
"I actually work in a chemist, so I've know how important it is for quite a while.
"And I think if the footballers get it done, and young locals in Peterhead see them getting it done, and see the importance of it, so they can get back to a normal life again."
