Peterhead shop robbed
It happened at the Premier shop in the Marischal Street area
There’s been a robbery at a convenience store in the Marischal Street area of Peterhead this afternoon (Tuesday March 14, 2017).
Officers received a report of an incident at the Premier shop around 2.30pm whereby a man threatened a shop worker. No weapon was presented.
Detective Sergeant Martyn Thomson said: "The worker was not hurt or injured in any way, but it would have obviously been an extremely unsettling experience.
"The area would no doubt have been busy at the time, so I would urge anyone with information about a man in his thirties who was seen leaving the shop in the direction of Gadle Braes to please contact Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 if you would prefer to remain anonymous.
"We are following a positive line of inquiry, however I would still ask anyone with information - no matter how insignificant you think it might be - to get in touch."
