Plans have been submitted for a new coastal housing development in Bridge of Don, which is believed could provide £100 Million of investment into the 'granite city'.

A planning application for Cloverhill was submitted by Cognito Oak LLP, a partnership between HBD and Wraith Real Estate, earlier this year and will be subject to a pre-determination hearing later this month.

Developers hope to support 290 existing construction jobs, and create a further 40.

As part of plans, it's expected around 165 of the 550 homes will be designated affordable housing.

Developers hope this will help sway the planning decision in their favour, as the council are seeking to provide 2000 affordable houses by 2022.

The plans also detail a small business and retail unit and a football pitch.

There will also be large amounts of green open space left untouched.
