Pensioner Killed In Oldmeldrum Crash Named

Police have confirmed the woman who died following a crash on Eavern Place, Oldmeldrum on Tuesday was Helen Filson, 81, who lived locally. The collision happened between a grey Audi A4 and a pedestrian at around 8.20am and Ms Filson was the pedestrian. Her family have today released the following statement. Speaking on behalf of her family her daughter Sharon Munro said: "Mum was a feisty and energetic person who enjoyed living an independent and social life in Oldmeldrum. "She loved her family and has three children as well as grandchildren and a great-grandson who will all miss her dearly. "Prior to our dad's death they loved to go hill walking and take caravan holidays and we have very fond memories of them both."
