Pensioner dies after 2 pedestrians involved in crash near Bucksburn

A black BMW and silver Nissan collided with the pedestrians just before 8pm Saturday night on Inverurie Road near Bucksburn.

A 70-year-old man has died following a road collision in Aberdeen.

The pedestrian was struck along with an 18-year-old woman in an incident involving two cars in Bucksburn on Saturday evening.

The teenager was seriously hurt and is being treated at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where she is in a stable condition, police said.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the collision just before 8pm on Inverurie Road, near its junction with Gilbert Road.

It involved a black BMW estate car and a silver Nissan Pixo.

Sergeant Craig McNeill said: Our thoughts are with all those affected by this terrible tragedy.

I am extremely interested in speaking to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have seen either vehicle beforehand.

I would also like to hear from anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident.''
