Pedestrian hospitalised after being hit by a car in Aberdeen

The 39 year old was struck by a car just after 2am on Saturday morning

A man is recovering in hospital after a serious crash in Aberdeen in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The incident happened just after 2am at Alford Place, and involved a pedestrian and a silver Toyota Corolla.

Emergency services took the 39 year old pedestrian to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, the driver of the car was not injured.

The road was closed until 11am while enquiries take place.

Sergeant Iain Nicolson said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this crash and we are appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time or who witnessed the crash to contact us.

“In particular, if you have dash-cam footage that could assist with our investigation, please get in touch.”
