A person has been taken to hospital after a historic fishing boat was swept over by wind at a fishing festival.
Reaper, a 70ft fishing vessel dating back to 1902, was docked at Johnshaven Harbour in Aberdeenshire as part of a fishing festival when wind swept it onto its side, partially submerging it.
The fire service was called to the scene at around 1:20pm with nine firefighters from Inverbervie and Stonehaven in attendance.
Fire crews attempted to pump water out of the hull to try and re-float the boat.
A lifeboat and a coastguard response team from Stonehaven were also in attendance.
A spokeswoman for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency said: "We sent a lifeboat and coastguard rescue team from Stonehaven and the person that was injured was taken to hospital by ambulance."
Attempts to re-float the historic vessel have so far been unsuccessful.
It is understood that the harbour master is going to reassess the situation at high tide to try and see if teams can re-float the vessel.
Reaper was re-fitted in 2004 and is now part of the core collection of the national historic ships fleet and one of the few boats in the collection which are kept in seagoing condition.
Thousands of people were expected to descend on the Johnshaven Fish Festival which was celebrating its 20th anniversary today.
