Oil Firm EnQuest Reports Sharp Profit Drop

Published 19th Aug 2015

North Sea oil firm EnQuest has reported a sharp fall in their revenue and profit.

The Aberdeen-based firm's profit is down 13% to £283m, compared with the first half of last year.

Production rose by 17% thanks to Malaysian fields but North Sea output declined.

The drop in profit was associated with the dramatic fall in the price of oil over the last 12 months.
