North Sea Firms Look to Middle East

A number of oil and gas companies will be showcasing in the Middle East this week, to drum up investment for the North Sea and unlock new markets.

Close to sixty companies will be at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference.

It comes as the oil and gas sector in Scotland struggles with the low price of oil.

Last week TAQA and Chevron were the latest firms to confirm job losses in the North Sea.

But David Rennie, the International Head for Oil and Gas at Scottish Enterprise, says North East skills are sought after internationally.
