A fresh yellow warning for rain has been issued for parts of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire as Storm Ciaran brings more wet weather to the north east.

It follows recent heavy rain across the region during Storm Babet, with more expected to arrive overnight on Wednesday.

The warning comes into force at 3am until 3pm, spanning across central and eastern Scotland.

Forecasters have warned flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely.

Bus and rail travel is also expected to face disruption.

Rainfall is likely to reach 20-30 mm, with a risk of 40-50 mm over higher grounds.

It's as Storm Ciaran has already caused flooding in parts of Northern Ireland, with amber warnings issued for southern England on Thursday.
