North East Teacher Summit Brought Forward

A summit, to address the growing number of teacher vacancies in the North East, has been brought forward.

It will now be held on Wednesday Septeber 30th, instead of the original date of October 7th.

Local authorities in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Moray, Highland, Orkney and Shetland will be included in the talks.

This new school year began with almost 300 teaching posts unfilled throught the North East - including 39 head teacher posts.

The move of the date is in order to allow the attendance of key officials from local and national government.
