Ten people have been arrested as part of a police crackdown on individuals wanted on warrant.

They were brought before Peterhead Sheriff Court between Monday 25th July, and Wednesday 27th July.

Constable Heather McIntosh, who led the operation, said: "A number of persons have been arrested during this operation for offences which include dishonesties, violence and weapons and road traffic offences.

"This has allowed us to put these persons in front of the court allowing the judicial process to move forward.

"I would like to reassure the Peterhead community that it remains a priority for officers to ensure that all offenders within our area are brought to justice quickly.

"I would like to emphasise to offenders that if you fail to attend court when required it is entirely possible a warrant will be issued for your arrest and rigorous enquiries will be made to apprehend and bring you before a court."
