An Aberdeenshire wedding firm is under pressure - with a number of brides demanding their money back.

Drummond Events are being investigated by Trading Standards after a string of complaints from couples who aren't happy with how their special day turned out.

A spokesperson for Aberdeenshire Council said: "Aberdeenshire Trading Standards are aware of concerns about Drummond Events and are currently investigating the matter."

It's claimed that money was paid to the firm for various services, without work being carried out in full.

Kerry Miller got married on Saturday - she paid thousands of pounds to Drummond Events for a dance floor to be built, only to be left disappointed.

"I just don't want anyone else having to end up in this situation" - Kerry Miller, Aberdeenshire

Others took to social media to express their concerns.

Jodie West posted: "I have booked a black led dance floor, uplighters and a white backdrop. I sent a message to him last night and he said he's aware of the comments and rest assured he will be there with all I have booked. I'm so nervous"

Nikki Buchan added: "I have 130 chiavari lime wash chairs with ivory pads booked. And hessian table runners with lace. I've paid £150 deposit. How do I go about getting deposit back?"

They firm has posted on social media saying they'll be contacting those affected by the end of the week.
