Nine crew members have been detained from a ship that is being searched by Border Force officers at Aberdeen harbour.

The vessel was intercepted by Border Force and the Royal Navy 100 miles east of the Aberdeenshire Coast, and was then escorted back to Aberdeen Harbour, for a full search to take place.

The National Crime Agency has confirmed that it is all in relation to drugs.

As part of investigations onboard the ship, nine of it's crew members have been detained and are now being questioned by the National Crime Agency's Border Policing Command.
