ARI car park lit up with messages of support for NHS staff

The health board have projected messages of support onto the car park from patients and staff who have been fighting through the pandemic together.

NHS Grampian staff at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary arrived to work tonight to a special surprise.

The multi-storey has been lit up with messages of support from staff and patients.

Messages includes:

"Plan, change, plan, deliver, repeat"

"Everything is temporary especially the now"

And "there's good out there"

Katie Sutherland works at the Hospital.

She said:

"Tonight we arrived to the hospital car park to see the building lit up with comments from patients and staff who have been fighting through this pandemic together."

"I have been working through this pandemic since day 1 along with all of the other NHS staff out there and tonight these messages brought an overwhelming amount of emotion to me just before I started another nightshift in intensive care"

She continued: "After an exhausting year this was exactly what we needed. Something to give us that feel good factor and that extra bit of hope."
