Motorcyclist who died in Aberdeenshire crash named by police

The motorcyclist who died in a crash near South Teuchar yesterday has been named by police as 46-year-old Gary Andrew from Cuminestown.

The motorcyclist who died in a crash near South Teuchar yesterday has been named by police as 46-year-old Gary Andrew from Cuminestown.

Officers released the following statement:

Police Scotland can confirm that the male motorcyclist who died following a two vehicle collision on the unclassified Cuminestown to Fyvie road near South Teuchar at about 9.10am yesterday (Thursday September 8, 2016) is Gary Andrew, 46, who was from the Cuminestown area.

His family has requested that the following statement be released through Police -

"We are all devastated at the sudden loss of Gary, a very much loved husband, son, son-in-law, brother & uncle and a friend to many. He will be sorely missed.

"We would appreciate time to come to terms with our loss."

Officers continue to appeal for anyone with information about the collision who have not yet come forward to contact Police on 101.
