The search for a man missing from an offshore installation has been stood down.

A search operation was launched at around 7PM on Sunday after an employee was reported missing two hours earlier.

It was called off at around 7AM on Monday morning after searches involving aircraft from HM Maritime and Coastguard Agency along with other vessels in the area.

The installation from which the person was reported missing is around 100 miles south-east of Aberdeen.

Valaris, who own the rig, confirmed that the family of the missing man has been informed of the developments.
