Concerns grow for missing man with connections in Aberdeenshire

James Turner was reported missing on Tuesday after leaving his home in Annan.

Police are appealing to the public to help trace 45-year-old James Turner from Annan, who has connections in Aberdeenshire.

He's been missing since Tuesday December 28th after leaving his home in Glynt Wynde in a blue Skoda Octavia car around 3pm.

Police are asking the public to look out for the car with the registration - SV12WCR.

James is described as being 5ft 10 ins, of medium build, with dark greying hair.

He was last seen wearing a dark safari type jacket, white long sleeve t-shirt, black jogging bottoms and trainers.

Police say his family are becoming increasingly concerned for him.

James is known to walk, fish and camp locally and also has connections in the Aboyne area in Aberdeenshire.

Inspector Scott Torrance said:

“James has been missing for some time now. This is completely out of character for him and his family are understandably worried.

"We have a number of police resources out looking for James and I am now looking for the assistance from the public.

“If you have seen James or his car or have any information about where he might be then please call us immediately on 101, quoting incident number 2724 of Tuesday, 28 December, 2021.”
