Published 10th Jul 2015

Aberdeen City Council have admitted the business plan within the city centre masterplan may have to be re-written.

It comes after leading economist Tony McKay reviewed it, stating it was "very poor".

He also said: "The Masterplan claims that it will create 5,000 jobs and increase Aberdeen's gross annual income by £280m. There is no explanation of those estimates or forecasts in the publicy available documents on the Council's website."

Now, Finance Convenor Willie Young, says he has written to the Chief Executive of Aberdeen City Council, asking her to review the business plan.

Our reporter Hope Webb sat down with Willie Young, to discuss the issue.
