Cocaine with a street value of at least £215,000 has been found in Torry.

It was discovered in a vehicle on Oscar Road following an intelligence led operation.

It's one of the biggest drug seizures in the city in years.

Two men from the local area aged 23 and 21 have been arrested and charged in relation to the recovery and are anticipated to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today.

The drugs were recovered yesterday on Thursday by officers from Police Scotland's Organised Crime Team.

Detective Inspector Robin Sim said: "The supply of drugs in our communities will not be tolerated and we will continue to make the region a hostile environment for such activity.

"Anyone with concerns about drug misuse in their community should contact Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 if you would prefer to remain anonymous."
