Marischal Square: A Tour Of The Site
This morning Northsound News was given a tour of the Marischal Square construction site.
We were invited inside the site to see the progress that has already been made.
Currently the work is 22 weeks into a 170 week contract, and workers are leveling the ground to basement level and laying the foundations of the £107m development.
Muse Developments say Aberdonians should expect to see the structure rising from the ground in the early part of next year.
The project is providing 300 jobs during the construction process.
Work includes two 173,500 sq ft of office buildings with parking space, seven restaurants and cafe bars, a 126-room Residence Inn by Mariott, and civic space around Provost Skene House.
The developers also announced they will be injecting £500,000 into redeveloping Provost Skene House.
The development is due to be completed by the summer of 2017.
