Man who went missing in Naples being treated for "broken bones" in hospital
Robert Cadger, from Stirling, travelled to Italy with friends for a football game
The family of a man found in a Naples hospital after going missing say he is receiving care for “broken bones.”
A Go Fund Me page has been set up by Robert Cadger's brother Euan to help get him home.
The 47-year-old Aberdeen fan travelled to the Italian city with friends on March 8 for the Serie A match between Napoli and Fiorentina the next day.
He then travelled to Pompeii two days later however was not seen again.
A week on, Robert has been traced to a hospital in Naples and his family say he will be treated for the next two weeks.
A statement on Robert’s Go Fund Me page read: “Our brother Bob is in hospital in Naples following an accident whilst on holiday.
“We are raising funds to support Bob, to help with any medical costs, flights, accommodation and for family to attend the hospital to support his recovery.
“At the moment, it looks likely that Bob will be in hospital for at least the next 2 weeks, within the orthopaedic ward, with broken bones.
“Any help would be very much appreciated by the family.”
