Man to stand trial over fatal Shire crash
A driver is to stand trial charged with killing another motorist in a fatal smash.
Craig Ross, 28, is alleged to have caused the death of William Buchan by driving dangerously near Hatton, Aberdeenshire in May 2016.
Prosecutors claim Ross did “cross centre line of the road” into the path of Mr Buchan's oncoming vehicle.
Mr Buchan, 48, is said to have been “so severely injured” that he died.
Ross earlier denied the charge during a short hearing at the High Court in Glasgow.
Judge Lord Burns set a trial due to begin in September in Aberdeen.
Bail for Ross, also of the city, was continued meantime.
