Man to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court after alleged serious assault

A 29 year old man is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today in relation to an alleged serious assault on a man aged in his 60’s in the Deveron Road area of Aberdeen on October 13th.

He has also been charged in relation to an alleged theft from a car and attempted theft from cars also on 13 October in the Birkhall Parade area.

A 28 year old woman has also been charged in relation to the alleged vehicle crime and is anticipated to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today.

The man who was assaulted suffered serious facial and head injuries and was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

PC Iain Fraser from the Divisional Alcohol Violence Reduction Unit told Northsound News: "This has been undoubtedly been a distressing incident for the community and we are grateful for its support while enquiries were carried out."
