A man's been rescued from the roof of the Bon Accord Centre.

The 29 year old was above the Next store - the Gallowgate was closed for half an hour between 7:30 and 8am this morning while the fire service used a height appliance to get him to safety.

He's being given a check up at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

It comes just days after a 34 year old man stopped traffic for hours on Union Street, after he climbed the statue of Edward VII and refused to come down.
